Malvern District Library & Community Centre. Toronto Public Library . 2005

This project was a large addition to a 1980's library.  The original building lacked visibility and tended to be a dark, uninviting space.  The addition and renovation transformed this library into a bright, airy environment reminiscent of a tropical resort.  The building has been an overwhelming success with circulation tripling, and has become a focus of community life for this troubled suburban area.
